iOS 9.2.1 Jailbreak Update

Jailbreaks are like rains in deserts- they are extremely hard to come by. And even if they do, they don’t last long. Similarly, Pangu had given us the iOS 9 jailbreak, but Apple killed it with the release of iOS 9.1. And currently, we are jailbreak-less, waiting for the next jailbreak by Pangu or TaiG or any other hacker team. While the whole iOS community might be expecting an iOS 9.2 jailbreak at this moment, a well-known hacker has surprised us by jailbreaking iOS 9.2.1 ! Update 1 : [11th Mar’16 ] Pangu has released iOS 9.1 jailbreak out of nowhere . Read more about the recent progress in the linked article. Update 2: [23rd Mar’16] Apple has released iOS 9.3 Download [ext link] full version for its users. The possibility of iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak is bleak if not lost.

Pangu iOS 9.2.1 Jailbreak Release Date :

But iOS 9.2.1 is
still in the beta version, right ? . Full version of iOS 9.2.1 download now available [ext link]. Apple afterwards slowly started seeding iOS 9.3 beta’s after this. Well, that hasn’t stopped Italian hacker Luca Todesco from working out the vulnerabilities of the firmware for jailbreaking it. The hacker has released a screenshot on his popular @qwertyoruiop Twitter handle, and the screenshot [image below] shows the hacker’s iPhone 6 running a jailbroken version of iOS 9.2.1 beta. However, before you think that the jailbreak will be released soon, you should note that this new jailbreak will not be released by the hacker. Luca himself mentioned in his tweet- “no releases“.

This announcement comes as a disappointment for all the iOS jailbreak users who have been waiting for the next jailbreak. However, there might still be some hope. That’s because iOS 9.2.1 is
still in the beta form released in full version currently, and Luca might release the jailbreak, or at least thejailbreak source code, after Apple has released iOS 9.2.1 for the public [ iOS 9.2.1 Download Available – Ext Link ] . Another explanation tells us that Luca is one of those developers who like to find security exploits in firmwares but do not want to go to the extent of creating a full-on jailbreak tool. Such hackers usually pass on the exploits to jailbreak teams who are experienced in creating jailbreak tools for the public.
Many people are still doubting Luca’s claims to have jailbroken iOS 9.2.1. If you are one of them, you should know that Luca Todesco is a talented and experienced hacker and has been credited by Apple for unveiling a security exploit in iOS 9.2. Also, the hacker has had a significant hand in the making ofPangu’s iOS 9 jailbreak. Apart from that, Todesco had also worked on jailbreaking iOS 8.4.1, but it was never released in a jailbreak tool form; though the hacker did release the source code on GitHub. Finally, Luca has posted another screenshot showing the iOS 9.2.1 kernel dumps [image below]. This should be enough to tell you that the hacker has indeed succeeded in jailbreaking iOS 9.2.1.

We hope Pangu and TaiG are able to connect with Luca and create a jailbreak in collaboration with the talented Italian hacker.

Pangu Skipped Released iOS 9.1 Jailbreak :

After the Pangu iOS 9 jailbreak was patched by iOS 9.1 firmware, the whole iOS community started expecting an iOS 9.1 jailbreak from the team. However, iOS 9.2 betas had already started coming in, which meant that iOS 9.2 was going to be released soon. If Pangu would have released a jailbreak for iOS 9.1, it would have given Apple a chance to patch the exploits again. So wasting the jailbreak exploits was not logical at all, which is why the Pangu team decided to wait for the public release of iOS 9.2. This gave a lot of time to Pangu for working on the iOS 9.2 jailbreak, which is why it is high time that the team released a jailbreak now. Based on the latest information , they have released iOS 9.1 jailbreak on 11th March 2016 leaving everyone dumbstruck.

When will the Pangu 9.2 Jailbreak Release ?

iOS 9.2 has been released only a few days ago, and the iOS 9.2 jailbreak will be pushed out any time now. When Pangu had released the iOS 9 jailbreak, it came after a few days of iOS 9. So it is possible that we might get the surprise jailbreaking within this week. However, it is also possible that Pangu is still working on some exploits for the new firmware, which can delay the Pangu 9.2 jailbreak by a few weeks more.

Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1 or iOS 9.2 ?

After the public release of iOS 9.2, Apple wasted no time in pushing out the next update. iOS 9.2.1 Download [ full version release – ext link ] has been released and will be in the beta phase for a few weeks. iOS 9.2.1 will bring a few more performance upgrades and bug fixes over iOS 9.2, which is why it will be better if Pangu releases a jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1. Nevertheless, iOS users are already excited that the next jailbreak is not far away and will be released soon.

iPhone 7 design

Hottest leaks:
  • A super slim build
  • Water resistance
  • No more antenna lines
The iPhone 6S looked a lot like the iPhone 6, but it's likely to be all-change with the iPhone 7. Exactly what form that change will take remains to be seen, but there are some rumors.
iPhone 6S
For one thing, it could be even slimmer than the 7.1mm-thick iPhone 6S; Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities reckons it'll be dropping to between 6mm and 6.5mm thick. That sounds unnecessarily slim to us, especially as it could cause the battery life to take a hit, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 is only marginally thicker at 6.8mm, so it's possible.
If TSMC makes the chips, as has been rumored, then some space could be saved, which might help Apple slim it down without making sacrifices in other areas, while another report claims Apple will use fan-out technology to save space and reduce the thickness of the iPhone 7.

Another rumor suggests the iPhone 7 will have an all-metal design with a bezel-less display. It would be a big change for the iPhone design, but bringing in a new kind of screen technology would be a sensible move for Apple.
